Getting Help

Safer Places scheme

The Safer Places scheme is to help people with a disability be safer when out
in the community. If people are harassed, bullied, scared or lost, they can ask for help in one of the places that shows a Safer Places sticker.

They can then show their card to a member of staff. It will have their name and the phone number of someone they trust. The Safer Place staff will make a phone call to the number on the card. The Safer Place will have a folder with information and pictures to help them communicate if needed.
