God’s Earth, He Cares, How should we?

A one day conference at Shrewsbury Baptist Church in Claremont Street.

22nd November 10.30am-3.30pm

Being a Christian and caring for God’s creation can be a challenge especially in today’s society when we seem addicted to having as much stuff as possible.

Come and find out more about how Christians can care for Creation in practical ways – based on God’s teaching in his Word.

The day has been designed NOT for those who are already sometimes called “Eco Enthusiasts”, but for everyone else who wants to serve God by caring for Creation – but is not too sure why or how and just needs some help!

There will be a keynote speaker in the morning, Sam Berry who until 2000 was a Professor at Kings College London, followed by a simple Creation Care lunch, and practical workshops in the afternoon.  You are welcome to all or part of the day to meet with other concerned and creation caring Christians. There is no charge for the day -including lunch, though donations would be appreciated and you don’t have to book – just turn up.  We can also look after young children through the day.

The Conference is being organised by a group of concerned Christians from different Churches in Shrewsbury.  For more information contact : James Hindson, james_hindson@yahoo.co.uk  (on 07795 847137),  Howard Hutchings,  hhutchings@talktalk.net (on 07807601703) or Simon Ross, Simon@mea.org.uk (on 01743 277106),
