On May 2nd Dr Hindson took six pupils from Moreton Hall School to Acton Scott Farm Museum to assist him in making a presentation at a Shropshire Eco Schools Day. Organised by Shropshire Council, the event was attended by around 100 young people from Primary Schools across Shropshire. The Moreton Hall team were there to open the afternoon session with a presentation that challenged the young people to think about how much waste we produced and the need to seriously rethink how we do things on planet earth. Emily Kiel, Silvia Sanchos, Karina Brown, Selina Schoelles, Ana Berry and Grace Samuel did a brilliant job in putting the message across through two activities – one involving large amounts of cake and the other a game of giant jenga! The Shropshire Council Sustainability team were so impressed that they would like a repeat performance in September.
