Westminster in turmoil!

The UK is reaping the fallout from the referendum and the General Election. Watchman reports on machinations in the corridors of power

In the wake of the Conservative Party’s poor performance in June’s General Election – resulting in a hung Parliament – Theresa May’s position as Prime Minister has been significantly weakened. The Times reported on June 12 that she “faced overwhelming pressure to soften her stance on Brexit.”

The Times reported: “Mrs. May must now decide how to handle demands from cabinet ministers, including Mr. Hammond (Philip Hammond), to soften her line on Brexit. They want a looser migration system than Mrs. May had planned, a rethink on leaving the customs union and more flexible approach to the European Court of Justice.”

Implementing Brexit is absolutely crucial, but pro-EU politicians are using May’s weakened position to try and dilute Britain’s exit from the European Union. Having a looser migration system, as has been suggested, will only leave Britain very vulnerable to the steady flow of Muslim migrants pouring into our nation.

Brexit is not just about freeing the UK from Brussels’ control. It is also about protecting the UK from Islamic domination.

The EU is readily facilitating Mass Muslim Migration into Europe. By the EU’s insistence on maintaining open borders between EU member states, it is fuelling the flood of Muslim Migrants across Europe.  Some Muslim migrants are genuine refugees but most are economic migrants.

Most Muslims in Europe are migrants or descended from migrants. It is from these local Muslim migrant communities that most of the perpetrators of Islamic terror attacks in Europe have arisen. Thus, more Muslim migration to Europe will give rise to even more Islamic terrorist attacks because the pool of local Muslims which the terrorists recruit from is only going to keep expanding, fuelled by migration and also high birth rates within the Muslim community.

The EU managed to get Turkey to implement more comprehensive measures to reduce the flow of migrants from the Middle East through Turkey to Europe. But this has come at a heavy price. Turkey’s President has told EU leaders that he would use the migrant crisis to “try to force Turkey’s entry into the EU”, the Daily Express reported. (8 March 2016)

He said that if the EU wanted co-operation with Turkey on the migrant crisis, nothing short of full EU membership would do. Thus, Turkey is now in a strong position to pressure the EU into giving them full membership.

On May 22, 2016, the Sunday Express reported: “More than 12 million Turkish citizens plan to move to Britain when the country joins the EU, a Sunday Express poll has revealed … More than 2,600 adults were interviewed across all 27 provinces of Turkey. Most of those keen to come to Britain are either unemployed or students.”   Turkey’s EU membership would bring a deluge of millions of Muslims into Europe, with over 12 million of them heading for the UK, if the UK remains in the EU or, if Britain’s Brexit compromises significantly on migration

It is a question of when Turkey joins the EU, not if Turkey gets EU membership. The EU has to accelerate Turkey’s membership otherwise it will let large numbers of Muslim migrants pass through it to Europe. But Turkey’s EU membership will trigger a much bigger flood of Muslim migrants to Europe – mainly of Turkish origin – plus any Muslim migrants who manage to get to Turkey will then find it so much easier to travel on to other EU countries.

Pray that Britain’s Brexit will occur very fully and soon and that there will be very effective and permanent measures taken by the UK Government to very significantly reduce Muslim immigration to Britain.

Write to: The Prime Minister, The Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP , at: 10 Downing Street, Westminster, London SW1A 2AA. Emphasise in your letter the importance of the UK Government tackling the challenge of Muslim migration and stress how such migration significantly contributes to increasing the threat of Islamic terrorism in the UK. In addition, urge Mrs. May to ensure that Britain’s Brexit is fully implemented soon, that full control of all the UK’s borders will be returned to the Government and that it will very significantly and permanently reduce Muslim immigration to Britain.

Pro-Life Issues

With attempts by groups like BPAS (British Pregnancy Advisory Service) and MPs such as Diana Johnson, to remove all legal restrictions from having abortions, the impact on Pro-Life issues of the new UK Parliament is crucial. Furthermore, the Labour Party had stated in its Election Manifesto that if it got into government it would totally decriminalise abortion in Britain and Northern Ireland.

The pro-life organisation, the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) has produced an analysis of the General Election results regarding Pro-Life issues. Here is part of SPUC’s analysis:

“This morning, the UK woke up to the news that Theresa May’s Conservative party has lost its overall majority in the House of Commons. What do the results mean for the pro-life cause in Parliament? “This election result has certainly surprised everyone. That Labour have increased their vote share could be a worry, as they included an explicit pledge in their manifesto to extend abortion to Northern Ireland. However, the maths makes it practically impossible for Jeremy Corbyn to form a government. What it’s looking like will happen now is Theresa May forming a minority government, probably with backing from the Northern Irish DUP . This could potentially be positive, as the DUP actually have a pro-life stance, and would certainly oppose any moves to extend the Abortion Act to the province.”

On 13 June SPUC reported that the Proabortion forces were lining up to push their agenda in the new parliament. Amid the attacks on the proposed deal between the minority Conservative Government and the Pro-Life DUP MPs, anti-life forces have been lining up to push for more abortion in the new Parliament.

Diana Johnson made it clear that she intended to bring back the bill she introduced in March of this year to remove abortion from the criminal law – part of a wider agenda to allow abortion up to birth, for any reason. This is nothing more than seeking a license to murder helpless, vulnerable unborn babies! Proabortion campaigners also want to force abortion on Northern Ireland.

A letter from BPAS (British Pregnancy Advisory Service) and other pro-abortion advocacy groups restated their commitment to decriminalisation, claiming: “50 years since the Abortion Act was passed, there is clearly an appetite to extend, not restrict, reproductive rights.” They all ignored the results of a recent ComRes (CommunicateResearch) survey1, which revealed that the public actually favours greater restrictions on abortion. Not surprising because since the legalising of abortion in the 1967 Abortion Act, so far over 8 million unborn babies have been slaughtered in Britain. On average over 500 unborn babies are killed by abortion every day. This mass killing is happening right in our midst but most “Bible-Believing” Christians in Britain ignore this.

Antonia Tully, SPUC’s Campaigns Director, commented: “Pro-abortion MPs are pushing for decriminalisation of abortion because they don’t care about the impact of abortion on women or refuse to look at what that impact is. We really do care that women who have an abortion experience mental health problems 30% more often compared with women who give birth. It matters to us that a study has shown that suicide is approximately six times greater after an abortion than after childbirth.

Lobby MPs

“We are fighting the decriminalisation of abortion every inch of the way. In October 2017 SPUC is holding a mass constituencybased lobby of MPs. We are aiming for every MP in the country to hear first hand of the dangers to women and babies of decriminalising abortion. We want the firm commitment of MPs to oppose any moves to decriminalise abortion.”

On 12 June SPUC launched a petition calling on Prime Minister Theresa May to condemn attacks on Northern Ireland MPs who oppose abortion and same sex marriage. There was widespread criticism of the proposed deal with the socially conservative Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) to keep the minority Conservative government in power. SPUC described it as an “outpouring of attacks on the DUP in the media and from politicians over the views of the Northern Ireland MPs to adhere to Christian positions on abortion and marriage.”

To sign the Petition: https://tinyurl.com/y8uc93t4 The petition urges the Prime Minister to condemn the anti-Christian bigotry on display in the attacks on pro-life and socially conservative MPs. Please support this petition and urge your Christian friends and contacts to do likewise.
